– "Before" - Close-up of decal and keyboard. We will replace the missing ivory keytops with used ivories and, as part of the restoration, we will install a new decal under the final coat of lacquer.

– We dismantled the piano and installed new rear casters.

– We stripped the original finish from the cabinet and from all veneered components.

– We re-glued loose veneer and installed new veneer on surfaces that had no veneer.

– We removed the bass strings and the bass bridge in order to replaced the bridge "apron" which had split.

– After rebuilding the bass bridge, we cleaned the bass strings and re-installed them.

– When restringing the bass section, we installed new larger-size tuning pins.

– We removed the damper levers from the action in order to access the action parts for reconditioning.

– We replaced damaged action parts, such as worn out butts.

– After veneer repairs, we sanded all surfaces and applied dark mahogany stain.

– Over the sealer, we applied three coats of clear satin lacquer.

– We reconditioned the pedal mechanisms and refinished the board before re-installing the pedals and pedal rods.

– With the piano on its back, we re-installed the keybed and the pedal board.

– We cleaned the keys and installed ivories to replace missing ivories on 15 keys.
