Additional Pictures

taken in our showroom:

1 – Like most vintage uprights, this piano has three pedals: the right pedal sustains the tone and the left pedal softens it by advancing the hammers and shortening the blow distance. The middle pedal originally was connected to a felt strip that reduced the tone--for a fee we can install a new attachment.

2 – A refinished matching bench accompanies this piano.

3 – The "Behning & Sons" logo is embossed in the metal plate under the lid.

4 – Here you can see at a glance the main improvements recently completed: Action reconditioning included new hammers and dampers, and the piano was completed restrung and repinned using larger-size tuning pins.

5 – Action reconditioning included installation of new bridle tapes.

6 The top treble section of the piano, where you will notice some loss of tone.
