Process taken in our
shop: |

1 –
We dismantled the
cabinet to remove the action--this is a "drop action" that fits in
the cabinet below the level of the keys, more difficult to service,
like a "compact car." |
2 – We tightened the cabinet
screws, cleaned the strings and put new felt into the pedal
mechanisms. Then we replaced the underkey punchings. |

 4 –
We re-installed
the action after reconditioning it (tightened all screws, reshaped
hammers, spaced and aligned hammers, applied center pin lubricant to
sluggish butts),and we conducted a complete regulation before
re-assembling the piano (we corrected the dimensions of hammer blow
distance, capstan heights, key height and dip, and letoff). |
