Satin walnut case, spade legs, with matching bench. This piano was built in 1987, and was cleaned, regulated and tuned by Ray's Piano Service in 2009. A great buy for the serious piano student or music studio. A solid, reliable, small grand with a surprisingly deep, rich tone, considering its size!

Appraised market value as per "The Piano Book"--(1) Replacement with new Model PG157 $15,000; (2) Depreciated value 40% of new = $6000.

CleaningWe removed the action, and cleaned both interior and exterior.

Regulation, Tuning—We air-cleaned the action, tightened all action screws, corrected regulation adjustments, and tuned the piano to A-440.

1 Lid at lower setting.

2 – Keys are like new, and an examination of the action shows very little wear--this piano hasn't been played a lot since new.

3 – Lyre has solid construction, looks similar to the lyre on Japanese grands.

 

4 – The piano has "spade" shaped legs and very solid, reliable casters. Caster cups included.

5 – Matching bench also has "spade" legs.

6 – Musicians like the wide music desk on this model. The spring-loaded fallboard provides extra protection.

 

7 – The strings are like new and the pin torque is adequate for stable tunings.

8 – Solid beams support a heavy piano frame, contributing to the piano's deep, rich tone.

9 – Pedal mechanisms are efficient, noiseless, like new.

 

10 Legs are attached with solid steel anchors and held tightly with braces extending from a steel beam on the underside of the piano.

11 The lower lid setting will help fit this piano into a small room. . .
